Evaluation of programs of the government has often been carried out by PlDT to provide insight into the problems of such programs. Often such programs are designed with high hopes without intimate knowledge of socio-cultural dynamics and physical realities of the people.

Understanding the social dynamics of the working population, women, children and community and their adjustments to change are other areas of PlDT's research.

Development policies of new and emergent political situations affecting societies at micro level are other areas of research priorities. A list. of researches conducted and published papers can be made available to those interested.
